Located in West Virginia, the New River is one of the oldest rivers on Earth and has carved and continues to carve, the deepest and longest river gorge in the Appalachian Mountains. It is a top destination for white-water rafting, rock climbing, mountain biking and wildlife viewing.
The event is set to take place from Friday, August 10th – Sunday, August, 12th and will feature a Friday night film festival, live music on Saturday, a rafting trip down the New River on Sunday, a puppet parade, field trips and more.
Interested parties can register online, the cost is $10 for an individual and $15 for a family. Attendees also have the option to become a ''Friend of Clean Water'' for $20, which includes festival registration as well as updates and information regarding progress of the New River Clean Water Alliance. All admission prices include festival registration and camping.
