Paver Sales Increasing
The annual results of the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute’s Industry Sales Survey shows a 2.7-percent increase in the total US paver sales. The municipal/commercial market makes up 21.3 percent and residential sales make up the majority, with 78.7 percent.
According to report, there has been a steady increase over the last three years in permeable pavement sales, increasing from 3.8 to 5.1 percent from 2009 to 2011. 78.4 and 21.6 percent permeable pavement sales were placed in commercial and residential applications, respectively.
The survey data pertains to products that conform to standards set by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) or the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
