Rain Bird Academy Irrigation Courses

Rain Bird Academy will offer summer irrigation courses at the University of Florida’s Mid-Florida Research and Education Center from July 16th to July 20th. The Professional Irrigation Training Camp (PITC) features 21 courses over a five-day period, providing landscape and golf irrigation professionals with expert instruction on the latest irrigation products, newest installation methods and best practices in irrigation design.

“Unlike many other irrigation training options, our general irrigation classes are non-manufacturer-specific, meaning we do not promote or sell Rain Bird products in class,” said Robert Pfeil, marketing group manager for Rain Bird Services Corporation.

The target audience for these classes are both newcomers to irrigation and seasoned professionals, in order to experience industry-leading irrigation training. Classes are scheduled for 4 hours; 8 hours; 12 hours or 16 hours (2 days), some classes require a multiple day commitment. Course subjects include Rainwater Collection and Utilization for Irrigation, Golf Irrigation Technician’s Course, and Introduction to Landscape Irrigation Pumps to name a few.
