Firms of L.A.

Editors Steve Kelly and Alli Rael

With the ASLA Expo/annual meeting this year in the "City of Angels," LASN salutes the landscape architectural work of firms of the Los Angeles area. This issue will be distributed from the show floor at the LASN booth (# 950). Participating firms are invited to drop by the booth to pick up extra copies of the magazine.

LASN asked the firms to send us a short biographical profile, plus photography of three to five projects, with a brief description of the design work for each project. All but one of the firms sent at least 5 projects, so we have 76 landscape architecture projects to show off. We let the firms speak for themselves in their profiles and in describing the projects, although some editing was required because of space restraints. We selected the images we thought best represented each project. As there was not enough room to show all the projects and photography submitted by each of the firms in the profiles, LASN has made those available at www.landscapeonline.com. Simply search for a firm’s name to view all their submitted projects and photography.

Thank you, Firms of L.A., for participating! Attention firms of Orange County, Calif. and south on down to San Diego: Your profiles will be in the 2019 edition (when ASLA comes to San Diego).

Coming in 2018: With the ASLA Expo in Philadelphia next year, LASN will profile firms of Pennsylvania. If your firm would like to participate in those profiles and showcase your work, please email Alli Rael arael@landscapeonline.com with the subject line: "My firm wants to participate in Firms of Pennsylvania." We’ll save a place for you. And remember, there is no charge!
