Kurt Kluznik

The Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) announced the selection of Kurt Kluznik, CCLP of Yardmaster, Inc., Painseville, Ohio as president of the association for the year 2004.

The 2004 Low Voltage Lighting Institute of America’s–(LVLIA)–Award of Distinction winners are Bill Peterson of Gillette, N.J.; Frank DiMarco of Mount Albert, Ontario Canada; and Tom Williams of Troy, NY. The awards were handed out during the annual conference banquet and recognize outstanding individual professional accomplishment and excellence in low voltage landscape design.

H. Kibbe Turner

The Association of Profession Landscape Designers (APLDTM) presented The Harry Schuster Service Award to H. Kibbe Turner, APLDTM. The award is presented each year to a person who reflects the enthusiasm and selfless efforts to further APLD that Harry Schuster displayed for so many years.

Debra Holder

The Associated Landscape Contractors of America named Debra Holder (ACLA), their new CEO. Holder was the past executive vice president and recently marked 24 years with ACLA and over her more than two decades with the Association, she has been staff liaison to almost all of ACLA's committees.

Ronald Damgaard

Ronald Damgaard was presented with The Associated Landscape Contractors 2004 Lifetime Leadership Award. Damgaard owns and operates Otto Damgaard Sons, Inc., and Kaneville Tree Farms, which are headquartered in Des Plaines, Illinois. The award is presented annually and recognizes a member who has demonstrated leadership, service and commitment to both ACLA and the landscape industry.

Donna Vignocchi

Donna Vignocchi, CLP was recently named to ALCA’s Board of Directors. Vignocchi is vice president of ILT Vignocchi in Wauconda Illinois which has been providing comprehensive landscape services to preferred residential and commercial customers for 33 years.

B.A.S.F. Corp. has made the following turf and ornamental changes: William Strickland is senior marketing manager, Rich Kalik is national accounts manager, Greg Thompson is regional sales manager and Bryan Brochin is marketing associate.

Bill McAtee

Bill McAtee is district sales manager for Vista Professional Outdoor Lighting’s Midwest territory. McAtee is a member of the Low Voltage Lighting Institute of America and has a degree in business from the University of Kansas.

Tempest Technology has acquired Trimmer of Fresno and Yard Vac Products. Trimmer Reel Mowers and Yard Vac Product Lines will now be manufactured under the name California Trimmer Inc., a division of Tempest Technology Inc. Alan W. Odgers is vice president, sales and marketing of Astec Underground, a leading manufacturer of underground and utility construction equipment.

Rich Daly is new Midwest regional sales manager for Otterbine Barebo Inc., a manufacturer of aerators and fountains in the pond and lake management industry. Daly has a BS in Education from Chicago State College and is a member of Community Associations Institute, Illinois Landscape Contractors Association, and the Midwest Golf Course Superintendents Association.

Craig Neagle

Craig Neagle is Southwest territory landscape sales manager with Aquarius Brands Inc. Aquarius is a designer and manufacturer of quality irrigation and water handling products.

Marc Theisen is director of business development for Profile Products LLC, manufacturer of erosion control products and inorganic soil amendments. Theisen is a certified professional in erosion and sediment control, and past vice president and member of the International Erosion Control Association.

Daniel Jazdzewski is accounts manager for John Deere Landscapes in San Diego County.

James Young has been named vice president of franchise development for Spring-Green Lawn Care Corporation.
