image

The NALP will host a three day period of service and political advocacy in Washington D.C. and Virginia. Association members will be invited to connect with members of congress to speak about issues important to them.

The NALP's annual visit to Capitol Hill to advocate on behalf of the landscape industry will take place July 15-17.

The organization encourages landscape professionals to meet with one another and be affective advocates for the issues that matter to them including:
• The Farm Bill
• H-2B
• EPA regulation
• E-Verify and immigration reform
• Social media and advocacy

A day of service will also take place at Arlington National Cemetery that will coincide with visits to Capitol Hill.

The work will encompass improving lawns, taking care of historic trees and completing irrigation and hardscape projects.

Registration for the event can be found here. (https://www.landscapeprofessionals.org/nalp/sign-in.aspx?WebsiteKey=4f8a985d-719f-4cfc-8524-11c9ba675672&LoginRedirect=true&returnurl=%2fnalp%2fevents-education%2fRR_Leg+Day%2f2018%2fRegistration%2fRegistration.aspx)
