Has Introduced Numerous Products to the Landscape and Golf Industries

John Deere Turf Care, with a manufacturing facility in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina and a distribution warehouse in Benson, North Carolina, has received numerous honors for safety including NC STAR Certification, the National Safety Council Occupational Excellence Achievement Award, and the NCDOL Certificate of Safety Achievement.

The Turf Care manufacturing division of the John Deere company is celebrating its 20th year in business in North Carolina.

The 335,000-square-foot facility in Fuquay-Varina first produced lightweight fairway mowers and has since introduced more than 15 products including riding greens mowers, trim and surround mowers, front mowers, wide area mowers, ZTrak(TM) and QuikTrak(TM) mowers, and ProGator(TM) utility vehicles.

"In addition to producing innovative equipment that is revolutionizing the golf and landscaping industries, we are also proud to employ a team that is dedicated to bettering their local communities," said Siva Sundaresan, factory manager and global director for commercial mowing and golf equipment.

Local charities that Turf Care employees volunteer with include Junior Achievement, United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters and FIRST(R) Lego League. The company has also partnered with Habitat for Humanity and participates in the Backpack Buddies program benefitting a local elementary school.

The Turf Care division also operates a 320,000-square-foot distribution warehouse in Benson, North Carolina.
