Build Your Very Own Vertical Garden
Very Cool

image

The circular garden needs only 2.8 x 2.5 meters of ground space. Just follow the 17 assembly steps! The design is from SPACE10 and architects Mads-Ulrik Husum and Sine Lindholm. The building instructions are at https://tinyurl.com/znkf76u .

Up for a do it yourself project? IKEA just released plans for a spherical multi-level garden called the Growroom (https://tinyurl.com/j39dcdz). It's being touted as a kind of vertical farm, but of course you could grow whatever you desire.

Assembled!

Talk about a wood shop project! The only materials required are 17 sheets of plywood and 500 stainless pan head screws. You'll need access to a Computer Numeric Control machine with a cutter 8mm in diameter, plus a table saw, a screwdriver, a drill and a couple of hammers.

There are rumors that people in such disparate locals as Helsinki, Taipei, Rio de Janeiro and San Francisco have plans to build Growrooms. Get working.
