The 2016 ICPI Annual Report had its eye on expansion. The report noted the association's efforts in making installer courses more accessible by offering the Concrete Paver Course video and Hardscape North America demonstration videos in Spanish. This gives Spanish-speaking landscape professionals the opportunity to earn CEUs in the language they feel most comfortable with.

The Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) this month announced the release of its 2016 Annual Report. The report details the association's objectives by reporting on progress during the first six months of implementation.

In 2016, ICPI members and staff developed and rolled out new strategies to be enacted from 2016-2019. Beginning with the launch of a new website in January, the ICPI board of directors established the following Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to achieve its goals by 2019 for the U.S. and Canada:

o 23 percent increase in all sales (from 2 to 2.6 square feet per capita)
o 39 percent increase in PICP sales (from 43 to 70 million square feet )
o 7 percent annual growth in residential sales (from 550 to 674 million square feet)
o 25 percent annual increase in commercial sales (from 155 to 235 million square feet)
o 6 percent annual growth in participation in ICPI training courses
o 5 percent increase in ICPI Membership by 2019

The association's report highlighted the health of the industry and overall performance of interlocking concrete paver's sales in the U.S. and Canada. It indicated that concrete pavement product sales saw an increase of 14.5 percent in 2016 over the previous year.
