The Landscape Expo - Long Beach 2017
The Landscape Expo is now accepting proposals for seminar presentations. If you are interested in sharing your knowledge and expertise at TLE-LB to be held October 4 & 5 at the Long Beach Convention Center, please submit a prospectus using the form located here.
The deadline to submit is Wednesday, March 1. Please see below for the submittal guidelines.
The Landscape Expo Seminar/Workshop Submittal Guidelines
Speakers should preferably have a background in academia; vendors with field experience are also encouraged to submit. These workshops are not meant to promote a specific product or service, but to educate landscape professionals in the industry and provide a well-balanced program.
We will be looking for presenters to present new information on various points of view and looking at the timeliness and relevance of the topic. A main focus will be on the potential to engage and attract attendees.

o Equipment Operations
o Hardscape Installation and Maintenance
o Irrigation/Erosion/Water Management/Rainwater Harvesting/Stormwater
o New Technologies (Drones, Building Information Modeling, Virtual Reality, etc.)
o Ordinance Compliance
o Pest Control
o Plant Selection/Drought Tolerant/Edible plants
o Pool Building/Water Features
o Soil Management
o Sustainable Landscaping

You may submit a request to speak on any of these topics, or any other topic you feel might be of interest to landscape contractors, designers, installers, or maintenance professionals. Each session should be 1.5 hours in length, but it is recommended covering content for approximately 50-60 minutes, and allow for 20 minutes of valuable Q & A.
To Submit your Prospectus:
All proposals must be submitted in their entirety for consideration. Please send your seminar proposal using the online form here sent via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Proposals must include:
o Seminar Title and a paragraph describing the course.
o Learning Objectives: Identify the learning objectives attendees will gain.
o Brief biography including contact information, professional accomplishments and degrees.
o Headshot image (this does not need to be professionally done, but needs to be at least 500 pixels).
o Any travel or honorarium request must be made with the submittal.
You will receive a confirmation receipt after you have submitted your seminar proposal, and will be notified of our decision after March 1, 2017. Each selected speaker will be sent a Memorandum of Understanding to sign and will also agree to promote the Expo and his/her seminar.
Each speaker will be publicized and their affiliation, institution or company will receive publicity through profiles, press releases and course descriptions on LandscapeOnline.com, LandscapeOnline Weekly, and Landscape Contractor/Design Build Maintain magazine. All travel and honorarium requests will be considered - if submitted with the proposal.
