Registration is now open for the first Complete Streets conference, put on by Smart Growth America's National Complete Streets Coalition.

Smart Growth America is an association that advocates for people who want to live and work in great neighborhoods. One of their programs is the National Complete Streets Coalition, which promotes the development and implementation of policies and professional practices that ensure streets are safe for people of all ages and abilities, balance the needs of different modes, and support local land uses, economies, cultures and natural environments.

Smart Growth America and the National Complete Streets Coalition recently announced a new conference called Street Lights: Illuminating Implementation and Equity in Complete Streets. The event, which will take place November 15 at the Elks Tower in Sacramento, Calif., will give planners and practitioners to share ideas, brainstorm solutions, and celebrate the success of the Complete Streets movement.

The one-day event will include interactive panels and breakout discussions about Complete Streets research, ideas and practices. A full conference agenda has not yet been released.

Registration is $150 for National Complete Streets Coalition partners and $195 for non-partners. New partners receive one complimentary registration.
