World of Asphalt Show Slated March 22-24
Over 115 Educational Sessions on Agenda
Professionals in the aggregates and asphalt industry will have plenty of opportunities to stay abreast of the latest trends by attending the 2016 World of Asphalt Show and Conference and AGG1 Academy and Expo.
This year's event will take place March 22-24 at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tenn.
More than 115 educational sessions are on the agenda, all geared to the business- and professional-development needs of aggregates, asphalt, pavement maintenance and traffic safety industry professionals.
"Education is integral to the AGG1 and World of Asphalt experiences," said Rick Feltes, chairman of AGG1 and a representative of the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA). "The expert presentations and invaluable peer networking help attendees sharpen their skills and bring practical solutions back to the workplace."
This event is being touted as the largest show floor ever. There will be more than 150,000 square feet of exhibits from leading manufacturers and suppliers, all showcasing their latest equipment and products.
Educational sessions will address issues related to operations and production; automation, technology and software; the environment, safety and health; and business management.
The American Road and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) will present a People, Plants and Paving Training program, designed for all sizes of paving contractors, plant operations and allied companies. This program will cover paving techniques; pavement preservation; plant performance; crew and operator safety; environmental health and safety (EHS); and management and leadership skills.
NSSGA will also offer workshops on strategic sales and basic supervisory training, along with a tour of the Rogers Group Rutherford Quarry.
