North American Tree Climbing Championship

Miguel Pastenes from Texas and Marilou Dussault from Quebec were the winners of the North American Tree Climbing Championship, and will go on to represent North America in the International Tree Climbing Championship in April.


The North American Tree Climbing Championship was held September 19-20 at Thompson Park, Longmont, Colo. The NATCC "provides a competitive but educational opportunity for working arborists in North America to demonstrate and exchange new climbing techniques and equipment, as well as, safe work practices," according to the website.

The winners will go on to represent North America in the International Tree Climbing Championship, which will take place April 2-3 in San Antonio.

The North American 2015 champions are Miguel Pastenes from the Texas Chapter and Marilou Dussault from the Quebec Chapter.
