ISA Accepting Proposals for
2016 Conference Presentations
Submissions Due December 4
The ISA, a nonprofit organization for arborists, is seeking proposals for presentations at the 2016 Annual International Conference and Trade Show.
The International Society of Arboriculture is hosting their 2016 Annual International Conference and Trade Show on August 13-17, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. The conference theme is "Deep in the Heartwood of Texas."
ISA has opened the submission process for presentations and is accepting proposals until Friday, December 4. ISA is looking for presentations in the following categories:
o Tree Academy workshops (3 hours)
o Climbers' Corner demonstrations (45 minutes)
o Panel Discussions (90 minutes)
o General Education (approximately 40 minutes)
o Arboriculture Research and Education Academy (AREA) - research based (30 minutes)
o Utility and Municipal themes (30-40 minutes)
o Spanish-Language Climber's Corner or General Education sessions (30-45 minutes) Sesiones en Español en la Esquina de los Trepadores de Árboles (Climbers' Corner) o las sesiones educativas generales (30-45 minutos)
No late submissions for these categories will be accepted.
Abstract proposals for posters and student submissions for the AREA Student Travel Grant has an extended deadline of Friday, February 5, 2016.
A selection committee will review all proposals. Proposals will be selected based on overall quality, appropriateness, relevance and timeliness of topic, well-defined focus, practical nature of material, and overall appeal to a diverse audience.
