Floura Teeter Landscape Architects promoted Sara Goins to marketing manager. A graduate of Loyola University, she joined the firm in 2013 as marketing coordinator and has been an integral part of the firm's business development team. In her new role Goins will lead business development efforts and manage marketing for the firm, including monitoring and tracking project opportunities and performing market research.

ValleyCrest Design Group, one of the nation's leading landscape architecture practices, strengthened its Irvine, Calif. office with the promotion of Mark Lenning to principal. Since joining the firm, he has applied his experience in design management, project programming, and design guidelines on high-end projects to broaden the firm's skillset.

Village Nurseries Wholesale, an Orange County, Calif.-based specialty grower for landscape professionals, announced today that Kevin Jasinski has joined the team as customer resource manager and inside sales manager. In the newly-created position, Jasinski's main duties will be managing the customer service team and all administrative activities of inside sales and customer support.

National Association of Landscape Professionals (formerly PLANET) announced its newest members of the 2015-2016 Foundation Board of Directors. Miles Kuperus Jr., landscape industry certified, will be the president of the board. Kuperus is president and owner of Farmside Landscape & Design located in Wantage, N.J. He earned a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture and design from Rutgers University Cook College. The Foundation Board of Directors took office on May 1. It includes president-elect

O'Boyle, Cowell, Blalock & Associates has added Paul Warnick and Katie Chase to its staff. Warnick joins the staff as a landscape architect. He holds a bachelor of landscape architecture degree from Michigan State University. He has 27 years of experience and specializes in planting and site design and detailing. Chase joins the firm's design staff as a landscape designer. She holds a master of landscape architecture degree from Ball State University and bachelor of fine arts degrees in art education and art history from the University of Illinois. Chasr has three years of experience and specializes in master planning, planting design and urban design.

John Crossley has been promoted to Irritrol marketing manager. Crossley has been with The Toro Company since 2007. He began as a specification sales manager in Southern California. He was most recently promoted to product marketing manager for Rain Master, Irritrol's line of central control products, in 2013.

Mahan Rykiel Associates, a Baltimore-based landscape architecture, urban design and planning firm, announced that Jason Castillo, PLA, Matthew Fichter and Anderson Wang have joined their staff. Associate principal Castillo joins the MRA staff from Florida with 17 years of experience. The collaborative and creative nature of landscape architecture initially drew him to the profession and those interests continue to foster his drive to develop engaging environments. Castillo is a graduate of the University of Florida. Fichter joined the firm in the late spring. He received a bachelor of landscape architecture from Penn State University in 2015 with experience in urban design, land planning, landscape architecture and site design for both the private and public sectors. Wang, joins the Mixed Use and Hospitality Studio. Since 2006, he has been studying and working on diverse landscape and urban design projects in both China and United States. Wang received his master degree of urban planning and design from Beijing Forestry University and master of landscape architecture from Rhode Island School of Design.

Wendel, a nationally recognized design and construction firm, announced that Leanne Voit, AICP, LEED AP, has joined the landscape architecture and planning teams as a project manager. She will be responsible for project management and is involved in all phases of projects including site planning, design and analysis; preparation of environmental assessments; and supervision of engineering services. Volt brings to Wendel 12 years of experience in the fields of land development, planning and architecture.

Vortex Aquatic Structures International, a manufacturer in aquatic play landscapes and entertainment solutions, announced that its president and CEO, Stephen Hamelin, has been named a finalist in the Quebec region of the prestigious EY Entrepreneur Of The Year awards program, an annual program that recognizes the innovation and achievements of Canadian entrepreneurs. Hamelin is one of three finalists in the manufacturing category, recognized for having developed industry-leading aquatic play solutions and water management systems that conserve water and energy while maintaining playability.
