ARCSA Renews Rainwater Harvester Accreditation Program
Program at Santa Fe Community College

ARCSA, the association that promotes sustainable rainwater harvesting practices, has renewed its collaboration with Santa Fe Community College to accredit rainwater harvesters.

The American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association has announced a three-year renewal of its first collaboration with an institution of higher learning-Santa Fe Community College (www.sfcc.edu)--whose 16-week course, "Active Water Harvesting and Distribution Systems," fulfills ARCSA's curriculum requirements, including lessons on the latest design and installation standard - ARCSA/ASPE/ANSI Standard 63.

The agreement requires no financial or administrative fees from Santa Fe Community College to ARCSA; students seeking accreditation pay the appropriate fees and interact directly with ARCSA for membership, examination, administration and continuing education; those students will be required to purchase the current ARCSA manual for the open-book exam; and both organizations will benefit from broad recognition of their contributions to help solve the world's growing water problems.

ARCSA's mission is to promote sustainable rainwater harvesting practices to help solve potable, non-potable, stormwater and energy challenges throughout the world. Since 1983, Santa Fe Community College has served as the gateway to success for individuals and the community. The college provides affordable, high-quality educational programs that serve the social, cultural, technological and economic needs of Santa Fe's diverse community. ARCSA is pleased to partner with SFCC to reinforce their proud history.

ARCSA is currently producing the nation's first online rainwater harvesting accreditation course, patterned after its soon-to-be published comprehensive national rainwater harvesting manual.
