"The land and all of nature embraced me and filled my heart with poetry as I grew up and worked on a Wisconsin farm. Cheerful bird songs woke me as the morning sun blinked upon the horizon. Warm rains encouraged fragrant flowers and abundant crops. Beautiful contours bathed in sunlight and caressed by graceful shadows brought delight to my senses. These beginnings led me to appreciate the land and to trust in its bounty, the beauty of trees, the solace of grasses, the charm of flowers, the rippling of water and the grand company of wildlife. I thank God for my talents. I dearly love my profession and am proud to be a Landscape Architect. It enables me to relive these experiences by serving others. This unique opportunity for caring, serving, and bettering personal environments is where love and lasting friendships clasp hands in the quiet drama of a garden."
