The Irrigation Association has announced that Robert Wyland, more commonly known as Wyland, an American artist known for his large outdoor murals featuring images of life-size whales and other sea life, will provide a keynote session at the Irrigation Show & Education Conference. The 2015 event will be held November 9 - 13 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Southern California, where attendees can also see a Wyland mural.
Since 1993, the nonprofit Wyland Foundation has set the standard for environmental outreach. In partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, Wyland is actively engaged in teaching millions of students around the world to become caring, informed stewards of our ocean, rivers, lakes, estuaries and wetlands.
Wyland's efforts in support of the National Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation and his ongoing partnership with The Toro Company are reshaping attitudes around the nation about the ways consumers can use water more efficiently.
The presentation will take place on Thursday, November 12; Wyland will speak to Irrigation Show attendees about how companies can creatively connect with their customers to build awareness about water efficiency and sustainability. He will also talk about how innovative technologies and ideas offer more efficient choices.
