The IA, an organization for irrigation companies and professionals, has announced that they are accepting abstracts for their Irrigation
Symposium in 2015.
The Irrigation Association has partnered with the American Society of Agricultural & Biological Engineers to host a joint irrigation symposium in 2015. The Irrigation Symposium, November 10 - 12, 2015, will be held in Long Beach, Calif., in conjunction with the Irrigation Show & Education Conference. The theme of the 2015 event is "Emerging Technologies for Sustainable Irrigation: A Tribute to the Career of Terry Howell, Sr."
Abstracts should include a concise description that explains the value of the information. Papers/presentations must be non-proprietary and educational in nature, not sales or product specific. Submissions may include research program results and case studies. Papers may be presented in SI units; translations are not permitted.
Presenters will be selected and notified by November 30. Once accepted, each speaker will be required to submit a written paper by January 15, 2015, along with a $250 publishing fee. The papers will be reviewed for format and returned to the authors for any needed edits. A revised paper for inclusion in the published CD proceedings will be required by May 1.
Presenters will receive a complimentary full registration to the Irrigation Show, which includes a copy of the conference proceedings CD and access to exhibits and the general session. Presenters are responsible for their own travel and hotel expenses.
Prospective presenters must submit a 150-word abstract to ASABE Meetings Manager Sharon McKnight (email@example.com) by Friday, October 31.
