MOLINE, Ill. - John Deere Landscapes has reached the $10 million mark in landscape installations funded through John Deere Credit, according to David P. Werning, president of the landscape division of Deere and Company. "We achieved this goal months ahead of our original forecasts and expect the program to continue to gain momentum in the coming year," Werning said. The $10 million represents homeowner financing for new landscape installations or major renovations through John Deere Credit. A range of financing programs exclusively for homeowners was introduced by John Deere Landscapes in major U.S. markets this past summer. The financing packages are typically used for new automated irrigation systems, landscape lighting, nursery stock, hardscape, patios and decks, ponds and water gardens. The financing packages have not only presented new opportunities for homeowners, they are having a positive effect on many segments of the landscape industry, said Michael McGrady, senior vice president of John Deere Landscapes. "Irrigation manufacturers, nursery suppliers, landscape architects - they are all beginning to see the benefits of these new credit programs," McGrady said.
