Public Roadways: Planning & Partnerships, 1 CEU LA CES
Presented by: Lynn Capouya, Lynn Capouya, Inc.
Friday, March 30th - 9:00 - 10:00 AM
With great projects come great challenges! This seminar focuses on three main aspects relative to LCI's participation on the I-405 Carmaggedon project. First we will look at the project scope, an overview of the project and it's relationship to the City of Los Angeles. Second, we will examine LCI's role as landscape architects, visual quality manager and our support role with environmental documentation and the disposition of over 8,000 existing trees. Lastly, we will discuss 'how the public process works', how to get involved and what it takes to become a selected team member by METRO. We will discuss RFP's and RFQ's and alternative methods of delivery: design/bid/build versus design/build.
