Biography:

Jacquelyn Thorp, SPHR-CA, is the founder and CEO of Train Me Today, a division of HR Coach LLC. After 25 years as a Human Resource professional she originated a unique line of affordable, high quality, human resource products and services.

Jacquelyn is trained by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in Identifying, Preventing and Eliminating Harassment in the Workplace. She has trained thousands of supervisors in hundreds of companies in harassment prevention.

During her years as a Human Resource practitioner, Jacquelyn gained substantial practical hands-on experience in preventing harassment, discrimination, and retaliation supported by a legal education in the field of Human Resource Management and a personal passion to stay on top of matters of harassment and discrimination prevention through continuous learning. Jacquelyn's articles on strategic management, harassment prevention and human resource management have appeared in OC Metro, PIHRAScope and FastCompany among other publications.

She is the author of 7 Keys to HR Management. Recognized by SHRM as one of California's HR Subject Matter Experts (SME) Jacquelyn co-authored the California Professionals in Human Resources Study Guide for the Professionals in Human Resources certification exam.

In January 2008 Jacquelyn was awarded the prestigious Human Resources Excellence Award by the Professionals in Human Resources Association.

A graduate of Chapman University, Jacquelyn holds a Master of Science in Human Resources and a Bachelor of Arts in Organization Leadership. Formerly a Professor of Organization Behavior at California State University, Fullerton, Ms. Thorp works at the HR Coach LLC corporate offices full time.

3.Uniformed Guidelines on Employee Selection; Legal and Illegal Interview Questions as well as New Employee Reporting Requirements, Negligent Hiring, IRCA

4.At-Will v. Implied Contract and Violation of Public Policy; Wrongful Discharge and Critical Documentation Requirements

5.Section 132A/Safety and Health Protection on the Job/Workers; Compensation/Workplace Violence
