This course will focus on a summarized but comprehensive approach to designing and managing public landscapes including parks, parkways, and open space. The opportunities for sustainable design exist in the urban forest, parks, sport fields, open spaces, and urban spaces.

He will cover preventive and protective weeding tactics, fertilization and watering schedules, and a site’s influence on plant mortality. California Friendly® is a free guide that was funded through collaboration between Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, Metropolitan Water District, and the Southern California Gas Company.
